He was born on April 13, 1972 in Rutland, Vermont. Lewis spent most of his life in Sheffield, Massachusetts where he graduated from high school in 1990.

Lewis was born on April 13, 1972 in Rutland, Vermont.

He was the son of a musician and a teacher who divorced when he was six years old. His mother remarried and they moved to Sheffield, Massachusetts before settling down in Boston. He attended high school at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield and then moved to Carmel High School where his father taught English Literature. After graduating from college with a degree in psychology/business administration from Hampden-Sydney College (HSC), he became an intern for House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s political action committee GOPAC during their 1994 re-election campaign for Congressmen Dan Coats and Mark Souder.

During this time period Lewis discovered that his music interests were not compatible with his job at GOPAC so he decided to pursue music full time instead.

During his childhood in Sheffield, he attended Mount Everett Regional High School.

As a student, Aaron Lewis was active in the arts and athletics. He was in the band, he was in drama club, and he also played basketball. As an adult, he has continued this pattern of being involved in multiple extracurricular activities at once.

Both parents had a background with music.

His father was a musician and his mother was an artist. They both encouraged him to pursue his own music career, but he wasn’t sure how well it would work out for him at first.

Lewis worked as a dishwasher while starting out as a musician.

In addition to working as a dishwasher, Lewis also worked at a deli. He started out there as a cook and eventually became the store manager before moving on to his next gig. While working at the deli, Lewis met two guys who were also musicians and they ended up starting a band together.

In 1995 he joined the heavy metal band Staind, with whom he has released seven studio albums and has begun to settle as a solo artist.

Staind was formed in 1995 by bassist Jon Wysocki, drummer Mike Mushok and guitarist Aaron Lewis. They were soon joined by guitarist and later vocalist Aaron Lewis. The band’s lineup has undergone several changes since their inception, with Lewis being the only consistent member of the group besides bassist Johnny April. Before becoming famous for his work with Staind, Lewis worked as a solo acoustic performer on cruise ships and at theme parks such as Universal Studios Florida where he performed for patrons of Halloween Horror Nights.

Lewis’ first solo material was a departure from Staind’s nu metal and alternative metal sound; an EP titled Town Line which featured only acoustic songs was released on March 1, 2011.

Starting in April 2010, Lewis began working on his first solo material since leaving Staind. His first solo EP Town Line was released on March 1, 2011 by Blaster Records and features six acoustic tracks. In an interview with AOL Radio’s Noisecreep, Lewis explained that he decided to release the acoustic EP because he wanted to do something different from Staind’s hard rock style. In addition to releasing new music and touring as a solo artist, Lewis is also working on two other projects: creating the soundtrack for a documentary about veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan called War/Peace (which will be accompanied by a book of poetry called The Poetry of War) and writing his first novel titled Last Chance Motel.

In December 2013, there were rumors circulating that Staind were reuniting for a new album release in 2014; however these rumors proved false when it was announced that Aaron had instead recorded an album under his own name entitled Things Happen.

The full length album The Road was released by Blaster Records on November 13, 2012.

On November 13, 2012, Lewis’ first full-length album The Road was released by Blaster Records. Titled after the road his father took to get home from work every day in his youth, the record is an acoustic album that represents a departure of sound from Lewis’s earlier work with Staind. It features songs such as “Painless” and “So Good,” which were released as singles prior to its release.

The album also includes covers of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire” and Bob Seger’s “Hollywood Nights.”
