Jo Koy, born Joseph Glenn Herbert on June 2, 1971, in Tacoma, Washington, is a Filipino-American stand-up comedian who has taken the comedy world by storm. Growing up in a military family, Koy moved frequently before settling in Las Vegas, where he began his comedy career performing at a local coffee house.
Koy’s early struggles in the comedy scene were marked by financial hardship and a lack of recognition. However, his persistence and unique storytelling style eventually caught the attention of industry professionals, leading to appearances on popular television shows like “Chelsea Lately” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
