Lewis Capaldi is a 26-year-old, Glasgow-born singer-songwriter. In his mid teens, he began writing songs and performing them in local pubs. In 2012, he met musician Hank Wangford at the Cambridge Folk Festival who invited him to perform on his BBC Radio 2 show along with other young acts including Jack Savoretti and Tom Odell. He also played at the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury and T in The Park festivals in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
In 2015 and 2016 he supported Sam Smith on tour which led to him being signed by Virgin EMI Records later that year after releasing three EPs through Songbook Scotland (an imprint of Warner Music). His debut album “Bloom”, released in March 2018 reached number one on iTunes within hours of its release due to high demand from fans wanting to hear this new voice.

This leads me to believe that he will continue making more albums along similar lines—and I can’t wait!
