Luke Combs is a country music singer, born to parents who were in the military. His father was in the US Navy and his mother worked at an Army base in North Carolina before they settled down in Tennessee. He grew up listening to traditional country music and attending church services every Sunday as well as taking piano lessons as a child. In 2015, his debut single, “Hurricane”, was released through Columbia Nashville after he signed with that label. Combs toured with Florida Georgia Line on their Smooth Tour in 2016 and played several shows at the Country Throwdown Festival later that year—where he would win Male Vocalist of The Year for the second time (he won previously at age 15). Luke Combs was born on March 2, 1990 in Asheville, North Carolina. His father and mother are Steve and Rhonda Combs; he has a brother named Jason Combs. The family moved to Mooresville, North Carolina when Luke was young, where he attended Mooresville High School. After graduating in 2010, Luke enrolled at Appalachian State University but dropped out after one semester and began pursuing his music career full time.
